7th Grade Scots Volleyball - Week of Sept. 21

The small but mighty 7th Grade Piedmont Scots Volleyball team is off to a strong start with the first 3 games of the season. They beat Willard easily 25 -10 in both games on September 22. They were not able to overcome El Sobrante's strong hits and lost 18 - 25 and 17 - 25. While they lost the first game to Dorris Eaton 15 - 25, the Scots fought for a thrilling victory 25 - 23 in the second game, and lost the third game after a valiant effort 10 - 15, with a run of 8 points in a row. Taylor Chow and Reina Lowe had many strong serves and assists, while Brina Vasaures and Clare Keating were strong hitters defensively. Katherine Caldwell and Rachel Hodgson had some critical serves to assist the team, and Nicole Cosares played strong offense.
